Ridley's Cycle is a fixture in the trendy neighborhood of Kensington in Calgary, AB. When Harold Ridley opened a sporting goods and bike shop in the neighborhood in 1945, he aimed to create a friendly environment where people who love to ride bikes could help people who love to ride bikes.
Ridley's has stood the test of time - today, it has dropped the sporting goods business and is solely focused on Bicycles, Bicycle Parts, Bicycle Accessories and Clothing. When co-owners Ron Uhlenberg and Kristyn Hall wanted to undertake a new, fresh and robust website initiative, they asked around. Business friends and acquaintances spoke with one voice - "RedCity Creative!"
Starting early in the new year, RedCity Creative met with Ron and Kristyn and discussed what a new website could do, how it could look, and made a wish list of possible website features. RedCity Creative took all this into consideration and designed a website worthy of the long-standing, friendly and recognizable Ridley's brand.
In late January, RedCity Creative submitted a detailed 17 page design prospective for a new website to Ridley's cycle and waited on pins and needles over the weekend while Ron and Kristyn reviewed the design and collected their thoughts. Early the next week, the design was approved - with no revisions...
After a month and a half of development, population of a catalog of over 250 individual 2011-2012 bicycles, each with over 25 different technical specifications, and detailed user experience testing, the new Ridleys.com website was launched with rave reviews in early April, 2012.
RedCity Creative is proud of the product we were able to create for Kristyn, Ron and the Ridley's brand. We look forward as we continue with the momentum created from the initial website project to add new features to make the website even more robust. Thanks Ron and Kristyn for giving us the opportunity to wow you with the RedCity Creative product and service offering - we look forward to doing it again soon!
